We believe the Great Commission is for every believer, not just for some! Not everyone is called to the nations, but we are all called to share the good news of Jesus Christ wherever we live. Here are some of the missions connections we have at The River.
MONDAY NIGHT PRAYER
Our first mission field is our own home! That’s why we meet weekly – 7 pm every Monday night – to pray for the local church, our city, and our nation.
GlobalROAR
GlobalROAR is an emerging mission movement among NRP and other cooperating local churches. Our vision is to plant churches in the least-reached areas of the world, provide for and strengthen our workers involved in evangelism and church planting, and see the next generation of our sons and daughters trained and sent to the pioneer harvest fields of earth.
Steve & Sara Currey, Germany
Steve and Sara Currey serve with the Orlando, FL, based mission organization PIONEERS International, and oversee PIONEERS teams in Europe. Both Steve and his wife Sara are passionate about training and encouraging workers in the world harvest.
Casa Hogar, Oaxaca, Mexico
Francisco and Carol de Marin administrate Casa Hogar, a home for disadvantaged and handicapped children in Oaxaca, Mexico. Working to break the cycle of poverty, Casa Hogar is a place where these children can receive medical care and an education that they would have no hope of obtaining otherwise. Most importantly, this ‘home that is a home’ is a place where these children learn about the love that God has for them.
Dugit Tel Aviv, Israel
Dugit is an evangelistic, coffee-house-style outreach center located in the heart of Tel Aviv. The word ‘Dugit’ means little fishing boat, like the ones used by the disciples on the Sea of Galilee. Today, Dugit is ‘fishing for men’ in the heart of Tel Aviv, where Israelis can drop in for a chat over a free cup of coffee in a safe, friendly environment and hear about Yeshua the Messiah. Dugit is an outreach of the Adonai Roi Congregation.
Prepare Ministries
Founded by Gary Gilbertson, Prepare Ministry is a college campus ministry that reaches out to people from many different beliefs and faith backgrounds with discussions about truth, morality, and God in hopes to win young people to Christ. Their vision is to influence and inspire people to live fully consecrated to Christ.
